World Down Syndrome Day, observed annually on March 21st, is a momentous occasion celebrated worldwide. It's not just a day of recognition; it's a powerful statement of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion. Year 2 students celebrated Down syndrome day to show each person with Down syndrome is a unique individual with their personality, talents, and dreams. Celebrating Down Syndrome Day is an opportunity to celebrate their individuality and recognize the richness they bring to our lives. It's a chance to celebrate their laughter, love, and zest for life. It's about challenging stereotypes, breaking down barriers, and creating a world where individuals with Down syndrome can live their lives to the fullest. It's about creating a more inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, can thrive and be celebrated for who they are. During the day, students had a special colouring activity where students drew and coloured mismatched sock templates. These colourful creations around the school is a visual reminder of our commitment to inclusion and acceptance.
