We love making some amazing new art work each day.
The Earth Day was celebrated on 23rd April 2020, to raise global awareness on positive environmental actions, to protect nature and the planet Earth. Realising the fact that a greener Earth would provide them a better future, the students of year 2, participated with great fervour, in various activities that contributed towards the preservation of our surroundings. Literacy is the most basic, yet extremely precious currency of the knowledge economy. It is rightly said to be a bridge from misery to hope. Therefore, it was celebrated with immense fervor by the young learners, through a variety of engaging activities. Humanities Day was observed to raise standards and deepen the students’ curiosity, creativity and communication skills through perseverance and collaborative activities. Parents enjoyed by having a flavor of different activities and strategies used in the class room to understand geographical skills and its applications. Road Safety Week was observed to help the students realise the relevance of road safety in their personal lives and motivated them to create an awareness regarding the same among their near and dear ones. A range of activities were organised to meet this purpose: like role play on road safety, making a poster using ICT tools, reading a comprehension and answering the questions. In the words of Anatole France- “The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards." As true as every word in this quotation, so is the undeniable contribution of each teacher. Hence, this event was celebrated to cherish this undisputed fact. This event was organized based on a strong belief that every child deserves to feel safe, secure, special, happy and loved. It was intended to empower the young learners with the rules to protect themselves from any form of inappropriate behaviour towards them. A sense of moral and social responsibility was imbibed by the students through the Sewa Day which was conducted on 2nd October 2019. It was very well received by all students in YEAR 2. They eagerly took up the watering cans as they were delighted in the activity of watering the plants around the school campus.
