Year 2 Art exhibition: Based on the UN sustainability goal 13 - Combat climatic changes, students showcased their ideas and suggestions to save the Earth through the creative medium of Art.
English Week was celebrated from 10th – 14th January across school. The objective of this week was to enhance language proficiency and to promote language acquisition through a variety of creative, innovative and engaging activities aimed to foster an interest in English language and literature and to meet the varied needs of students with diverse learning needs, preferences, styles and interests. A range of fun, interactive, enriching and stimulating activities on varied themes were organized during the week.Another yet exciting event celebrated with full zing and enthusiasm by Year 2 students. Students spoke about the famous attractions and landmarks of their countries and they created dual- lingual postcards as well. Students and parents engaged into enriching activities highlighting the importance of language and culture across the world. Students had an informative and engaging event.
The Year 2 students used the Scratch Jr software and snapped together programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing. They made cross curricular links with English-contemporary tales and modified how their characters from the stories look, designed their own backgrounds, added their own voices and sounds and even photos of themselves and then used the programming blocks to bring their characters to life. |
