With an aim to develop the listening skills and the vocabulary of the students in the most entertaining way, the story – “Big Red” was presented through an outstanding theatrical performance. This event was also intended to provide a sense of story structure and increase the curiosity about literature. Apart for that, this show had a subtle humanitarian message of helping others under all circumstances, even if it involved taking up risk.
The students were amazed by the characters dressed in vibrant costumes and the attractive stage set up. They were totally engrossed in the dramatization, songs and puppetry, bringing the story to life with enthusiasm and creativity.
The show was followed by a workshop to provide the students a platform to develop their dramatization skills by taking on roles of actual characters in the story and determine the ending, using their imagination.
