In celebration of peace, Year 2 observed International Peace Day with a myriad of activities. The day was inaugurated by the Peace doves project. As, the doves carry symbolic wishes of peace, tranquility and goodwill, children from varied cultures shared and celebrated peace and diversity together. These doves were then displayed in the Year 2 corridor- “The Year 2 – Peace Walk” with little messages of friendship, love and peace for all around the world.
Around 300 students of Year 2 made a human chain linking their arms together to demonstrate a show of standing up for peace.
Students are still in the process of practicing their Peace Song “Let there be Peace on earth” to be presented in an “Over 300 voices” PEACE choir at a later event.
