With all kinds of technological advancements, it is important to be safe when online, and also teach the younger generation to handle their social media accounts responsibly. We are glad that our young learners of Year 2C could convey this important message on being a responsible digital citizen. They could talk about all the do’s and don’ts that may seem tedious at first, but they are a sure-shot way of protecting one’s privacy and ensuring that we are safe online too. All the could share their feedback and learning on the padlet: https://padlet.com/TheWinchesterSchool/cybersafety
The young learners of year 2 could convey to their peers and respective teachers on how to be a responsible digital citizen. They discussed about the good and bad in being online and setting a time limit. All were sharing feedback and learning through padlet and chatbox.
The little children of Year 2, reciprocated their love towards their teachers by speaking few words on why they love their teachers and why are teachers so important in this world. The children used the magic word ‘thank you’ and gave a huge smile to their respective teachers which made the teachers happy. Students of Year 2 participated in the Global Dignity day organised by their respective Class Teachers. It was organised to inspire students to care for their surroundings and they were filled with zeal and vigour to keep their surrounding areas, litter free and tending to the foliage both in their surrounding areas and in the school compound. Students learnt self-worth and experienced the magnitude of satisfaction that comes with interacting with their surroundings. A day where the world celebrates acts of kindness and public service. The little children of Year 2, reciprocated their love towards the people around them by making cards, sharing their thoughts on a padlet on how as children they can make the world a better place to live in. The children used the magic word ‘thank you’ and gave a huge smile to the support staff, bus drivers, nannies and cleaners. New days- New ways. Year 2 students showcased their creativity by designing logos during the Art exhibition. They also shared the meanings behind their logos. It is very aptly said that “Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures’’. Hence, this event further aided in strengthening the foundation of human society on the basis of love, unity, respect and harmony among the students, who are the prime future contributors. Year 2 students of the Winchester Family were welcomed with warmth and immense joy and acquainted with the learning environment, through numerous interactive and fun-filled activities through the virtual platform. A very warm welcome to the new academic year! The last term and summer we all found ourselves in unique and challenging times. While summer break is full of excitement, adventure, fun trips and travelling; we understand it has been very different. We, as Year 2, are confident that you have made the best use of this time while staying safe. “In the middle of every difficulty lies an opportunity.” Together we will make the learning enriching, fun and exciting. Let's see the Exuberant Educators of Year 2.
