Year 2’s have been busy working on instructions. This was done through a variety of activities like Mixing paints, playing Hopscotch, making fruits and vegetables salad, making masks, pecking birds, octopus puppet etc using paper plates, following and giving directions to go to a place and many more. This helps students understand what procedural writing is and how to read and follow it. This also lets them write their own instructions for a given activity and follow them to see how well they work demonstrating real-life use of writing instructions and showing why it is so important in everyday life.
